Join the club and our Investment Fund

The world economic crisis has been hitting us here in Brazil also. In October 2008 the president (President Lulu) has also been selling US Dollars to reinforce the Brazilian Real. At the time the US dollar, in relation to the Real, at R$ 2.40, was .80 higher (weakened against the dollar). The dollar in January, 2010, has dropped to below R$ 1.75.

The Banco Nordeste, which had approved our loan to buy the ranch and reserve Sernative, has frozen all loans until the currencies stabilize. This make take some time. (Over 2 years now)

Because of time and season factors, we spent the entire weekend October 11-13, 2008 discussing alternatives with the local residents, some resident foreignors, politicians, and economic advisors.

Some interesting points were presented ...
.
* Worldwide, the financial markets are collapsing as stock holders are selling their holdings and trying to recover as much CASH as possible. In other words, they are backing out of the regular financial markets as fast as they can. Panic! Many have cash in hand right now!
.
* Another point, Brazil is a solid market, still, thank God! The general concesus here in Brazil, invest in food production, land and substainable tourism. Consider the social impact of your investment ... provide jobs and food for the needy!
.
* The NGO/ONG Association ABTC-BRAZIL (www.andetur.org), a Brazilian non-profit, has formed an Investment Fund for club members. In order to participate you must be a club member.

An interesting point also, is that non-residents may invest in this program as it is not necessary in the beginning that investors be Brazilian residents. Later, they may be required to obtain a Brazilian Tax-ID which may be obtained on the Internet. We will send the information necessary to do this.
