2- Nas comunidades que estiver visitando, aprenda antes sobre sua história natural e cultural e respeite os costumes locais. Procure conversar com moradores, ouvir suas histórias e contos.
3- Evite viajar para áreas populares durante a alta temporada e feriados. A baixa temporada além de ter pouca gente é mais barato. Desta forma você estará produzindo menos impacto aos atrativos.
4- Sempre se familiarize com os regulamento e costumes das áreas turísticas que estiver visitando.
5- Procure consumir produtos e artesanatos do local que estiver visitando
6- Dê preferência a empresas de serviço (hotéis, receptivos, operadoras, etc) que tiverem certificação ou que atuem sob a ótica do turismo sustentável.
7- Não remova pedaços de ruínas ou objetos históricos para levar como lembrança. Tire uma foto, compre um postal.
8- Economize água e energia nos locais que estiver visitando. É bom para o meio ambiente, é bom para todos.
9- Pesquise em revistas, livros ou pela Internet o local que for visitar antes de sua viagem. Desta forma ajuda a conhecer os costumes e a história das diversas regiões do Brasil. Desta forma melhorando o aspecto cultural de sua viagem.
10- Sempre que puder instrua com educação algum visitante que esteja com comportamento impróprio, produzindo impacto aos atrativos turísticos.
Code of ethics/conduct
A set of codes depicting desirable ethics or conduct is another mechanism used to regulate tourism impacts. Codes of ethics can be made a part of an accreditation program or offered as a set of guidelines to bring about awareness.
While a code of ethics to guide tourist behavior is, perhaps, the most widely used, a code of ethics for guiding communityorganizational structures for tourism initiatives can also be highly useful. A code of ethics can remind community members what the goals of a given project are, especially if these goals seem in the distant future.
One year after its formation, the committee of ABTC-Brasil developed a code of ethics governing the promotion of tourism. This code emphasizes cooperation, sustainable development, concerns of the local community, and conservation of the environment.
Codes of conduct should include (1) guidelines for conservation, such as staying on trails to protect fragile vegetation, (2) safety concerns, (3) accommodation regulations (4) registration information, and (5) and practices for benefiting local communities, such as the use of local services or guides. Codes of conduct are distributed by tour operators or guides, printed on brochures and exhibited on signage.
This code should be given to travelers upon entering the area of Acari. Included in the code are the following general recommendations:
1. Be honest, respectful and professional in all proceedings
2. Respect the past as well as local customs
3. Help maintain the self-esteem of local people
4. Conserve wild plants and animals of the region
5. Preserve the cleanliness of all water sources
6. Avoid contaminating the environment
7. Use proper hygiene
8. Help protect heavily visited areas
9. Raise the level of awareness of all travelers
